Helifab's new floor protector installation provides protection from dent damage and fluids that can cause premature replacement of the cabin and crew floor panel.  The protectors are constructed of a durable yet lightweight, slip-resistant rubber compound that will not crack like existing floor protectors currently available. 

Helifab's flexible floor protectors can be removed and reinstalled without removing the seat cushions, and after initial installation the floor protectors can be removed and reinstalled without tools.

The trim to fit feature allows each installer to tailor fit the protectors to their existing configuration for unmatched compatibility with existing equipment installations.  Optional foam pads installed under the cabin floor protectors for additional dent damage protection are also available.

Radar Altimeter Antenna Installation Provisions (206B, 206L Series, and 407)

New introductory installation kit price! $1,900 for the tailboom installation location and $2,200 for the aft lower fairing installation location.

Helifab's new STC for radar altimeter antenna installation provisions allows for installation of radar altimeter antennas (Bendix King KA-54A, Sensor Systems S67-2002, or equivalent) to the tailboom or the aft lower fairing below the baggage compartment.  The installation includes all required parts and hardware required to install the radar altimeter antenna installation provisions (Installation kit does not include radar altimeter antennas or the four flush screws required to install antenna to STCed provisions).  The antenna installation provisions provide a  1.06 inch diameter wire routing hole through the fuselage as part of the approved installation. This installation is FAA STC approved for the Bell 206B, 206L, 206L-1, 206L-3, 206L-4, and 407.

 Frameless Seat Cushion Installation (206B, 206L Series, and 407)

Helifab has partnered with the upholstery experts at Ramm Aerospace in Quebec,Canada to developed frameless seat cushions for the Bell 206B, 206L series, and 407 models.  The frameless cushions replace the existing passenger seat cushions with metal frames, and are available in standard utility configuration or a specially designed EMS configuration that provides EMS medical personnel improved comfort and functionality.

 

Using frameless seat cushions removes the maintenance downtime and cost of repairing or replacing seat frames used in the existing seats, and reduces the weight of each seating position by up to 1.2 pounds. 

The frameless seat cushion upholstery coverings can be purchased separately and are replaceable in the field in less than 30 minutes, allowing the operator to recover their seats with virtually no downtime.  With over 80 different colors in two synthetic leather materials available, we are sure to have a color that will match your needs.

Helifab's litter installation provides a low-cost, durable alternative to existing litter installations available.  The litter stretcher deck can be adjusted forward and aft by a maximum of 14 inches and the stretcher incorporates folding handles that can be stowed during flight to allow additional space for the flight crew. 

The stretcher backrest is allowed to be inclined up to 30° during takeoff and landing for increased patient comfort and may be inclined up to 45° in flight. Litter Support Modification (Bell 206L Series and 407)

Helifab's litter support modification removes the existing structural support between the left hand door post and the vertical control tube tunnel and installs a new support at Water Line 59 (approximately 8 inches higher) in order to provide additional maneuvering room for patients when the rotorcraft is in an EMS configuration. Equipment Mount Installation (Bell 206 L Series)

Helifab's equipment mount can be used to secure equipment weighing up to a maximum of 34Lb. The equipment shelf can be used alone, or in combination with either a Flambeau PM 2274  medical drawer cabinet or equipment storage net. Medical Wall Installation (Bell 206 L Series)

The Medical Wall installs in the hat rack area and incorporates a removable 10" x 10" center panel where up to 10 Lb of equipment (such as oxygen ports, crew communication radios, suction ports, electrical outlets, etc.) can be custom mounted for easy crew and maintenance access.  The installation is available with nylon soft goods containment nets and a dual lock, lock box for secure storage of sensitive medical supplies. Oxygen Bottle Mount (Bell 206 L Series)

Helifab's oxygen bottle mount secures to the forward facing passenger seat kick panel and provides an easily accessible location for storage of a D-size portable oxygen bottle. Helifab's lightweight cabin area storage net may be installed on one or both sides of the transmission pylon and provides operators a safer method of securing up to 1,600 pounds of cargo within the cabin (800 Lb per side).  The cargo net is compatable with Bell Helicopter utility seats installed per Bell helicopter SI 205-19,  allowing operators to carry both passengers and cargo restrained within the net.  The cabin area cargo net is currently FAA certified in the Bell 205, 212, 214B, and 412.  View our Bell STC Support Documents page for the most recent information regarding additional FAA and international certifications.

Baggage Door Strut (212 and 412)

Helifab's 212/412 baggage door strut replaces the original chain door stop with a pneumatic strut.  The strut dampens sudden door movements to prevent the door from slamming open or closed and avoiding subsequent damage to the baggage compartment door or tailboom.  The strut will also hold the door open during baggage loading, making loading the baggage compartment much easier for passengers and crew.
